We are family owned and operated since August of 1996. For your convenience and enjoyment, the campground stays open year round. We offer a full range of planned activities for young and old. Also available is a wide range of recreational facilities.
When Happy Hills Campground (a name given by Chambersburg Trust Co.) was bought in 1996, it had six partners at that time. Dale & Helen Sipes, their daughter Pamela Sipes Helmstetter and husband Terry, their son Larry Sipes and niece Carlettee Sipes. It then became Happy Hills Campground, Dia-Lyn Inc (an S-corporation) named after and dedicated to the late Diana Lynn Sipes McCormick, Dale and Helen's daughter. Many years of love, dedication and hard work went into the restoration of Happy Hills. It is still owned and operated by family, with lots of love from our family to yours. Terry & Pam now own and operate the campground as well as their daughters, grandson and many other dedicated employees. We hope to carry on this family tradition, generations to generations as long as we are so blessed.
Meet your Happy Hills family
Terry & Pam
Terry and Pam became sole owners of Happy Hills Campground in October of 2008. They love spending their free time and taking vacations with their children and grandchildren. Some of their most enjoyable times has been working in the store on the weekends, getting to reminisce with all of the old campers and getting to know the new. They always stress that their biggest goal and accomplishment is to keep the campground family oriented, and as personable as possible.
Taryn & Lindsey
Taryn and Lindsey manage the campstore along with all summer activities. They enjoy heading up the halloween weekends along with the Hills of Horror. Outside of desk work, Taryn likes gardening in front of the store, and preparing sunday's breakfast buffet. Lindsey likes to occasionally get out of the store to help with firewood and mowing.
Committed to making your camping experience, your home away from home
Ron, Trenton, George and Steve
Some of our long time, dedicated employees that most of the time you can find outside working around the campground.
Ron started out as one of our yearlys, then chose to become a monthly camper. He has been working with us since 2004 and says he what he most enjoys is getting to do a little of everything around the campground. He definitely carries so much knowledge and dedication, it has been a blessing to have him with us.
Trenton, is Terry and Pam's grandson who as a child always wanted to attend Campground College with Terry as his teacher! You will see Trenton a little everywhere but can always find him on his ATV or the lawnmower. He has been a tremendous help with running our waste water plant.
George, left his job for awhile to help around the campground when it was so desperately needed. He has been such an asset to the team. He has enjoyed learning the many different things that come along with working at the campground. He will be going back to his work as an Ironworker, though he will continue to help when he is home.
Steve has been a part of the family for the past 10 years. At the end of last year, he retired from his corporate job to do something a little more hands on. He has already learned so much in the short amount of time being here and we look forward to seeing all that he will bring to our team.
Patty and Rachel
Patty, teaches through the school year in hagerstown and then in the summer comes and joins us behind the counter and works with us through Halloween time. She is on her Fourth year with us, she says what she likes most is getting the chance to meet so many new and nice people from all over.
Rachel is here with us for the Second year. She is still attending high school with many plans in her future.
Rachel originally started behind the counter, we then discovered what a huge help she has become in the kitchen, which is where you will be seeing her the most this year.
